SVS has formed around 1850 SHGs in 2 districts of Maharashtra. Around 3200 members are being empowered and becoming self dependent. Total grant received for these SHGs is around 4 Crores. Total Credit received by these SHGs is around 5.25 Crores. Around 1500 members developed their small and medium enterprises. One of these SHGs (Agjappa Mahila Bachat Ghat) was awarded as best SHG of NABARD of the year 2005 by Hon. P. Chidambaram (former Finance Minister GOI).

Works on EGS, NREGS, MREGS

Under this programme we Organised Village Awareness Camps in 50 villages. Street plays, discussions and rallies helped creating awareness on NREGS and MREGS. From each village we were able to organize on an average 100 – 200 people for the programme. Monthly meetings were conducted in every village wherein complete information about EGS, NREGS, and MREGS were given to the people. This dissemination of information has helped in the formation and empowerment of Labour Committees. A total of 50 Labour/employment Committees were formed in 50 villages.

Vatsalya Home for Orphans
The Vatsalya Home developed through the people contribution. Around 5 children have been well educated, get emloyed and became self dependent. Around 300 child labours and dropouts became free from their hotels and came in mainstream society. In order to create awareness on “Child labour” a children’s rally was organized in Omerga city. Hours before its announcement project persons visited the city shops – hotels and roadside eateries and took pictures of children being employed in odd jobs at these places. The shop keepers and owners of hotels etc were counselled. As a result, these hoteliers, shop owners etc. send the children to their homes and stopped the practice of employing children in their establishments.

Samaj vikas sanstha organized people from Shivapuri Colony for Campaign and fought for the availability of drinking water in the Shivapuri colony of Omerga City. At the result around 40 families of Shivapuri Colony are getting drinking water from a nearest well. We work for water availability in maharashtra. We fallow maharashtra jeevan pradhikaran.

Counseling and justice for women- Around 280 cases were registered and solved by SVS. There is provision of counselling centre and Nari Adalat

SVS organized a campaign for the amendment in the GR of govt orphanage. This campaign succeeded to change the GR. This helped many orphan children to get good food.
